Candle

Today I am writing from a cafe called the coffee house, where I had a salad-that was motzerella and tomate. No I still do not have internet where I am currently living. I don't have my camera cord but as soon as I download the photos I will show you the small for a German Catholic Catherdral that is just down the street from my current abode. The church has these thick wooden doors. Probably four inches worth of wood with lions head door knockers. After really hunckering down to open the door you see the locks that have likely secured the church for years. The wide iron looks hand pounded into shape. Once inside I was quiet the tourist I took pictures and donated 80 cents (Euro's have cents to just like Dollars) for a candle. In a Catholic Church when you light a candle it is like saying a prayer.

Side note, Bavaria is one of the only places in Germany you will see people in traditional dress who are not actually tour guides. Like regularly people walking to the Stop and Shop or the Karstadt. I just spied a couple walking around the plaza.

The world cup is going on in Germany. The World Cup is a huge deal around here. Like as big as the Superbowl in the states. So they have a giant TV in the plaza, where they watch the game. Last night on the same screen since Germany was not playing they showed a German Indain Jones. It was by far one of the worst movies I have ever seen. Unless the dialouge was amazing the special effects where horrible. The high speed chase had trees passing by at about 10 miles an hour. The movie had no extras-really they ran through uncrowded streets and when they fired the bullets you saw a flash (sometimes heard a bang) but no bullet holes appeared in anything. Honestly it was just a very silly film. My favorite part though was when it said "New Jersey Jones Home." Call me crazy but the "Jones Home" was not in Jersey was it?
